Glimmer by Phoebe Kitanidis

        In the book that I was currently reading it was about a character who's name was Elyse Alton and who had no idea who she was because when I was reading the book and in the book she woke up with a stranger in her bed,who she looked at and did not recognize who he was.She also yelled at him because she thought that he might have known who they both were but as they woke up and talked to each other they both realized that they had no idea who they both were.Elyse Alton is really insecure she is insecure because she has no idea who she is and also after having to go through her life all over again because she did not know who she was, made her not know when people were telling her the truth or when they were lying to her. Also I think that she drank the special potion because she thought it was going to protect her from her father knowing that she was going to lose her memory.In the book Elyse is honored in her school by all the girls and when she met Marshall King who was one of the kids she wouldn't have noticed ever in her life, he knew that he had to take the chance and lie to her and tell her that it would protect her from her father so he took it because he liked her.
        The thing that influences my character Elyse was her mom because her mom always wanted the better for her because in the town that they live in it is weird because it is haunted.Basically when people's feelings get hurt they fall asleep and don't remember what was happening before so Elyse use to right everything down before she would get into the heat nap that way she could remember what was going on. Also her mom influences her because when Elyse told her mom that she wanted to go to California her mom did not argue with her her mom stood by her and talked it out with her also when Elyse tried telling her mom that her step father rapes her her mom fell asleep. Her mom influenced Elyse because in the book they were both going through the same thing but Elyse would write it down and her mom tried to get away but then woke up and forgot all about it and did not have the same idea.
       I think that Marshall's and Elyse's relationship increased because at first he just wanted to use revenge on her because he liked her and she always ignored him at school but talked to him and went to his house but then when they both lose their memories they both start trusting each other because they only have each other.Also their relationship increases because they have to rely on each other.Their relationship increases because  they both don't know what is going on and they need each other because they were both going through the same situation. Their relationship also increases because as they both struggle to figure out how they are they figure out who they are together because they don't know who to believe. All in all I think that this book was great and interesting.
